School Visits

I have developed a program when visiting the schools that provides a fun interactive day for the students. I prefer to teach 4th - 5th grades, but can accommodate my program to work with all levels. I have each class write a class poem which I typeset onto a large piece of paper and then illustrate the poem with pencils and pastels. During each session, the students create their own illustration of the poem on a typeset 8-1/2 x 11” piece of paper. I provide pastels for the students to use. It is a messy and very fun day for all! All students proudly leave with their own illustrated poem.

I generally teach 4 sessions a day - each session should have under 30 children. The class is “hands on” - I try to spend a little bit of time with each student.
